The MoonROx Challenge is designed to promote the development of technologies and processes to extract breathable oxygen from lunar regolith on the scale of a pilot plant. Efficient production of breathable oxygen from in-situ lunar resources has the potential to contribute significantly to the Vision for Space Exploration and space operations.

RFI: MoonROx Technical Interchange Meeting

We are exploring the possibility of organizing a technical interchange meeting (TIM) in support of the MoonROx Challenge, potentially to be located at a NASA facility, in early June 2008.

The purpose of the meeting would be to provide an opportunity for those who are interested in participating in the MoonROx Challenge to discuss, with NASA scientists and ISRU experts, the current status of oxygen extraction and related technologies.
